The Captain

Captain John Fleet has acquired a wealth of fishing knowledge from the numerous places in the U.S. and abroad that he has fished. This includes Hawaii, Japan, various islands in the Caribbean, the West Coast, Florida and here at home in Virginia Beach. He uses what he has learned to help guide his fishing parties to some outstanding catches, which include catching and releasing two estimated 1000-pound-plus blue marlins (11 hour fight for one).

Double-digit marlin catches are nothing new toCaptain Fleet, with his personal best being 20 marlin caught and released in one day while offshore fishing out of Rudee Inlet in Virginia Beach. He is a constant visitor on the leader board in numerous billfish tournaments extending from Cape Hatteras, N.C., to Ocean City, Maryland, and has been “in the money” most of those times.

Fish captured under the leadership of Captain Fleet have won Virginia’s Saltwater Tournament in different categories on a regular basis.

Boat Owners

Alan and Mike are both active duty Naval Officers and avid fisherman. They feel that their beautiful boat needs to run much more often than either of them have time for, thus the creation of the “Reel Hot” Chartering business.
